By preventing capping, water is able to infiltrate your growing media effectively, while the grit also helps reduce the risk of waterlogging during periods of heavy rainfall by slowing infiltration and encouraging controlled drainage.

Bury Hill Horti Grit can also be mixed directly into soils and composts to improve overall structure. Its angular particles help maintain open pore spaces, improving aeration and drainage, essential for strong root development and healthy plant growth.
